Update: Pakistan military fails to come to aid of local defenders in Dir -- McClatchy News
My Comment: The above two stories appear to summarize what is going wrong in Pakistan. After all the news media reports and official Pakistan government announcements .... the Taliban are still there. And for those who are trying their best to get rid of the Taliban .... the Pakistani military and intelligence services turn a blind eye.
It appears (from an outsider's point of view), that when the right hand says or does something .... the left hand contradicts it. It would be comical if it was not for Pakistan nuclear arsenal, and our own soldiers fighting a bloodt insurgency next door in Afghanistan.
