From Foreign Policy Blog:

Pakistan's military and government is finally turning the tide against the Taliban. Isn't it time we give them a little credit?

My Comment: I have been a harsh critic of Pakistan for years. But my criticism was always tempered with the belief that not all Pakistani officials and military officers are corrupt and/or have bought into the Taliban's perverted ideology of Islamic extremism and jihad. That in fact many have a strong wish and desire to get rid of the Taliban and their Islamic extremist ideology, and are willing to die for it.

Kudos to Foreign Policy for finding some Pakistanis who are making a difference and who are trying their best to reverse years of stupid Pakistani government policy and action. My hope is that this is not a one shot deal that is isolated in Swat Valley .... but something that will continue to grow and have momentum.
