My Comment: This is what comes across in today's news headlines.

Numerous Afghan soldiers killed. U.S. soldiers killed and wounded across Afghanistan. Thousands of U.S. soldiers are now being rushed in for ied operations. There are NO safe areas in the country. The Afghan election results are being perceived as corrupt and tainted .... and these comments are coming from the Bristish Foreign minister.

Congress is silent. The U.S. media is silent. The debate on what we are doing and what we should do .... that is the most silent of them all.

I personally feel that we are reaching a tipping point. If this continues, by next year the violence in Afghanistan will match the worse that Iraq produced during the height of their civil war in 2007.
