Pentagon Official Confirms 1-Year Delay For JSF -- Defense News

My Comment: What a disaster .... people should be fired starting with the top. But Secretary of Defense Gates is not going anywhere .... there is a war going on in Afghanistan and he has the backing of the President. If we were in peacetime, I am sure that he and a few others below him would have been shown the door a long time ago.

On a side note, a big hat tip should go to Eric Palmer at ELP Defens(c)e Blog. I was a big proponent and supporter of the F-35 program until I started to read his blog many moons ago. He quickly changed my mind on the validity of the promises that were being made on the F-35 .... a difficult feat because at the time he was the only one consistent in the blogosphere who was critical on all of the promises that were being made on the F-35 program .... an analysis that .... with hindsight .... has been proven right on many occasions.
