CYA Is In Full Swing At The CIA

Why Were CIA Interrogation Tapes Destroyed? -- Time Magazine

The case of the missing 92 CIA interrogation tapes would be a good subject for a modern day Agatha Christie mystery. Someone at the CIA decided the tapes had to be destroyed — even at the risk of an obstruction of justice charge — but no one's confessing. By now John Durham, the assistant U.S. attorney investigating the tapes' destruction, must be scratching his head wondering if everyone at the CIA was complicit.

My Comment: Being a person who worked in a government bureaucracy .... this CYA behavior does not surprise me. The difference is that we are talking about the CIA, and "enhanced interrogations".

Sighhh .... it appears that the CIA is becoming nothing more but a bureaucracy filled with career officers whose #1 goal is to last long enough to punch out with a full pension.

Heavier sighhh .... we are going to pay for this behavior one day .... probably sooner rather than later.
