ADEN, Yemen — Seven Al-Qaeda members were killed in clashes with the army in south Yemen, the defence ministry's news website said on Saturday, bringing to 21 the death toll from the previous day's fighting.
Three Al-Qaeda militants were also wounded in Friday's clashes between the army and gunmen in the city of Loder, Abyan province, said the 26Sep.net website, updating an earlier toll.
It said three foreigners were among the seven dead Al-Qaeda members. The latest reported deaths add to an earlier toll of 11 soldiers and three civilians killed.
