Iran To Introduce Cyberwarfare Crack Teams -- The Telegraph

The Iranian authorities have promised to "put cyberpolice all over the country" as it comes under threat from online dissent at home and computer sabotage from abroad.

The country's head of police, Ismael Ahmadi Moghaddam, said Iran had to stamp out "defamation and mischief" at the opening of a new headquarters in Qom, the religious centre of the country.

He gave few details of his plans, but his words suggests he intends to continue developing the Chinese-style model already in place of using a mixture of technological censorship using keywords and large numbers of trained police to monitor websites.
