Recruiters Claim No Record Of Shooter -- Military.com
Officials with the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command say there is currently no evidence that Jared Lee Loughner, the suspect held in the shooting spree that wounded Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford, went through the Phoenix Military Entrance Processing Station despite reports that he was a military recruit.
But officials with the U.S. MEPS Command are looking into whether Loughner had tried to enlist the military through the Phoenix station.

My Comment: Some in the media have a reflex to look for a military angle in most massacres .... this latest news should put to rest any of these doubts or questions.
