An Egyptian court has blocked an appeal by ousted President Hosni Mubarak, desperate to get his money on billions of dollars he syphoned away during his dictatorship.
The move paves the way for prosecutors to seize the cash and it now looks like there will be a criminal investigation and possible trial.
Mubarak stepped down on February 11 after 18 days of protests across Egypt demanding his removal from office after nearly 30 years in power.
