More Demonstrations Planned For Cairo



Thousands Gather In Cairo's Tahrir Square For Protest -- CNN

Cairo (CNN) -- Tens of thousands of people converged on Cairo's Tahrir Square on Friday for a rally to urge the interim government to speed up reforms.

Many Egyptians are angry at the slow pace of change since President Hosni Mubarak resigned on February 11 after protests. People poured into the iconic site after Muslim prayers to demonstrate.

My Comment: A friend of mine went to Egypt last month as a tourist .... and when he came back regretted that he went. According to him, there is a great deal of frustration on the ground, and that the economic climate (especially in the tourism sector) has essentially collapsed.
