"There is no longer any truce with the enemy," Hamas announced on radio; Three rockets explode in Eshkol Regional council, no injuries reported; seven injured by Grad rocket that explodes in Ashdod yeshiva.
Hamas announced early on Saturday they were no longer committed to a more than two-year de facto truce with Israel since the end of a war in early 2009.
The statement was broadcast over a Hamas radio station in Gaza after Israel pounded the Strip for two days with air strikes in response to rocket salvoes and attacks on Thursday that killed eight people.

The Egyptian military leadership catering the embedded anti-Israeli hatred that was put on the back burner under dictator. Now roarding back. But the Egyptians need money from tourism and Suez and are in no position for warring once more with Israel, so this bluster will go nowhere. The military should have kept better check on Gaza (with help of Al Qaeda) nutters who attacked Israel. Now they bitch about what has mistakenly taken place when Israel went after the people Egypt allowed to use its territory.
