U.S. Defense Secretary Panetta: Qaeda Can’t Launch 9/11-Type Attack


Qaeda Weaken To Launched Major Attacks: Panetta -- The Nation/Agencies

With its top leaders killed in the last one year, Al Qaeda no longer has the capability to put a command and control structure to launch a major terrorist strike like 9/11, the US Defense Secretary, Leon Panetta, has said.

The network had no ability to put command and control together to make the kind of plans for as major attacks as 9/11, Panetta said in his remarks at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland.
