Daily Mail: Moment screaming NYC commuters burst out of subway carriage at Brooklyn station after gunman in gas mask lets off smoke bomb and shoots at least ten during morning rush hour: Cops hunt shooter in the TUNNELS as schools lock down

* The gunman was on the northbound N train when he put on a gas mask at 8.24am and pulled a smoke cannister out of his bag 

* He unleashed it in the train car, then opened fire, wounding ten people before vanishing as the train pulled in to the station 

* The gunman is described as a black male, weighing 180lbs and approximately 5ft 5in tall 

* He was wearing a green construction-type vest and a grey hoodie on the train, leading some to ask if he works for the city 

* The NYPD has not yet identified him much less found him and a frantic manhunt is underway 

* Videos show the passengers pouring out of the smoke-filled car as it arrived at the 36th Street station 

* NYPD units are now searching subway tunnels for the gunman who may have jumped onto the tracks 

* There is now severe delays across the entire subway network and many trains have been suspended 

The gunman in Tuesday morning's subway horror shooting remains at large, four hours after pulling out a gas mask, detonating a smoke grenade and opening fire on a moving train filled with commuters. 

At 8.24am, the gunman - described by witnesses as a 5ft 5 black man, weighing 170lbs, wearing an green construction vest, grey hoodie and gas mask, put on a gas mask on the train and then let off a smoke bomb on the northbound N train as it moved towards 36th Street in Brooklyn. 

He then opened fire, shooting ten people - five of whom are now in a critical but stable condition. 

When the train pulled into 36th St, the gunman disappeared. He may have fled onto the tracks, prompting NYPD teams to search tunnels as trains were halted, but he remains at large nearly five hours later. 

The wounded and terrified commuters poured out of the subway doors and onto the platform at 36th Street.

 * “Any time of the day, 24/7, the Capitol could be attacked, and it could be domestic, it could be foreign,” said Honoré. 

 * Honoré led a task force to review the U.S. Capitol security in the wake of the January 6 insurrection, and urged Congress to revamp its security forces by adding 854 more officers and a rapid response unit. 

Retired Lt Gen Russel Honoré warned that the U.S. Capitol “is a target 24/7,” hours after an attack on Capitol Police left one officer dead and another hurt after a man hit them with his car at a checkpoint near Constitution Avenue.

Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has had his death sentence overturned by a federal appeals court after his lawyers successfully argued some jurors had already decided he was guilty before his trial had even started.

The three-judge panel of the 1st US Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston issued the decision on Friday more than six months after arguments were heard in the case.

FBI Says Corpus Christi Shooting At Naval Air Station Is Terror-Related

Reuters: Active shooter at Texas naval air station 'neutralized': U.S. Navy

The U.S. Navy said on Thursday an active shooter at its Corpus Christi naval air station in Texas had been "neutralized," with one security force member injured in the events that unfolded in the early morning hours.

"Naval Security Forces at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi responded to an active shooter at approximately 6:15 a.m. this morning," said the U.S. Navy Information Office in a statement.

"The shooter has been neutralized. One Security Force member is injured," it said, without providing details.

The station itself said in a post on Facebook that the station remained on lockdown and the scene was not "clear," urging personnel not to move around unless cleared to do so.

US Attorney General William Barr has demanded that Apple unlock two cellphones used by a gunman who carried out a mass shooting at a Florida military base.

Barr made the high profile request at a press conference on Monday where he branded the attack an 'act of terrorism'.

Three American sailors were killed and eight other people were wounded when Saudi military trainee Mohammed Alshamrani opened fire in a classroom at the US Naval Air Station in Pensacola on December 6.

Alshamrani, 21, who was training to be a naval flight officer, was then killed in a shoot-out with police.

The Naval Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS) appears on TV as an effective team of special agents. Mark Harmon and his cast are treated as reverentially as Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.'s FBI agents in the 1960s and 70s.

However, Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani's December 6th terror attack reveals that something is seriously wrong at NCIS Resident Agency Pensacola, whose website lists its mission as:"Preventing terrorism and related hostile acts against DON forces and installations."

Sadly, this tragedy did not come as a surprise to anyone familiar with the base. Pensacola NAS is the home of Naval Aviation, and a symbol of American military power. It hosts the National Aviation Museum, Barrancas National Cemetery and historic Fort Barrancas.

Nevertheless, it has been badly mismanaged. I experienced my own set of Pensacola SNAFUs last year, complained on the base commander's website, and wrote about it on my blog.

The FBI is investigating the fatal shooting at a Naval base in Florida as an act of terrorism, a special agent said Sunday.

Rachel Rojas, special agent in charge of the FBI's Jacksonville office, told a news conference Sunday that the investigation was taking place under the "presumption" it was an act of terrorism, but that the gunman had likely acted alone.

"We currently assess there was one gunman who perpetrated this attack and no arrests have been made in this case," she said.

CNN: 3 US Navy sailors killed in the Pensacola Navy base saved lives when they ran toward gunman, officials say

Three US Navy sailors were killed when they "didn't run from danger" after a gunman opened fire at a US Navy base in Florida, US Navy officials said.

"When confronted ... they ran towards it and saved lives. If not for their actions, and the actions of the Naval Security Force that were the first responders on the scene, this incident could have been far worse," said Capt. Tim Kinsella, the base commander officer.

The sailors were Airman Mohammed Sameh Haitham, 19, of St. Petersburg, Florida; Airman Apprentice Cameron Scott Walters, 21, of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson, 23, from Coffee County, Alabama.

Fellow Saudi Mohammed Saeed al-Shamrani, 21, killed three and wounded 12 others in the attack before he was shot dead by police.

According to AP, investigators have now detained 10 Saudi military students from the base - a number revised up from six - but several others remain unaccounted for.

Authorities have not revealed the number of Saudi students they are still looking for, and it's unclear why they have not come forward to police.

It follows chilling new details emerging in the wake of Friday morning's shooting, including news that three Saudi serviceman joined al-Shamrani for a dinner party the night before the attack where they watched videos of mass shootings.

Federal authorities have made an arrest in connection with the mail bombing spree targeting critics of President Donald Trump.

A male suspect in his 50s was taken into custody on Friday in South Florida in connection with the recent string of mailed pipe bombs.

The suspect was arrested in front of an AutoZone store in Plantation, Florida a police source tells DailyMail.com.

A witness who works at Marlins Insurance said dozens of police cars descended on the area around State Road 7 and SW 8th Street about 10am, a few feet away from her office.

Daily Mail: New X-ray images reveal how 'MAGAbomber' made crude pipe bombs out of PVC tubing and an Amazon digital clock before stuffing them with sulfur and shards of glass

* The pipe bombs sent to prominent Democrats across the United States each had matching characteristics
* Officials said the devices were contrived of PVC tubing attached to a digital clock, available for purchase on Amazon, and included sulfur as explosives and shards of glass as shrapnel
* X-ray images provide a more detailed look at the explosive devices that also include a battery and wiring
* Secret Service intercepted two explosive devices en route to Obama's Washington home and Hillary Clinton's New York residence
* Another was discovered on Wednesday at the Time Warner Center in New York where CNN's newsroom is located. It was addressed to former CIA director John Brennan
* The devices are all similar to a small pipe bomb found at billionaire George Soros' home in New York Monday

X-ray images obtained by ABC News provide a more detailed look at the explosive devices that also include a battery as well as wiring to initiate an explosion.

Pipe Bombs Sent To The Clinton's New York Home, The Obama's DC Home And CNN's Head Office - Secret Service Suspect Serial Attacker

Daily Mail: Pipe bombs are sent to the Clinton's New York home, the Obama's DC home and CNN's HQ - just days after a similar device was found at billionaire George Soros' property as Secret Service suspect serial attacker

* Secret Service said Wednesday they intercepted two packages en route to Obama's Washington home and Hillary Clinton's New York residence
* Another suspicious package was also discovered Wednesday at the Time Warner Center in New York where CNN's newsroom is located
* Investigators believe the devices are all similar to a small bomb found at billionaire George Soros' home in New York on Monday
* Earlier, a law enforcement source said they believed there had also been a package intercepted at the White House but Secret Service later denied it

Multiple explosive devices have been found in the mail addressed to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and CNN's New York newsroom - as investigators probe whether the 'similar' packages are the work of a serial bomber.

Secret Service agents revealed on Wednesday they had intercepted two packages en route to former President Obama's Washington D.C. home and Hillary and Bill Clinton's property in Chappaqua, New York.

A short time later another suspicious package was discovered at the Time Warner Center in New York where CNN's newsroom is located.

What's my take .... talk about timing .... before this news story become public I posted a story early this morning on October surprises during an election cycle. And these mail pipe-bombs are an October surprise. I am by my nature always skeptical on news events that are posted by the media .... especially a week or two before an election. In this case .... considering the context I am doubly suspicious and skeptical. None of the bombs exploded, and they were intercepted at the sorting station after being screened (with the exception of the package that was hand delivered to Mr. Soros' home). I take comfort in knowing that if this case is real, the person(s) will probably be arrested by the end of week, and we will know who is/are the perpetrator(s). I am also sure in the next few hours/days more details are going to be released, and that this story will be dominating the news cycle for the next few days.

Update: Just an after-thought. Why send pipe-bombs to former President Obama and the Clintons? They are now minor players in Democrat politics and U.S. politics. This makes no sense.

A motorist's vehicle burst into flames after it 'gained unauthorized access' to the main gate of a Northern California Air Force base. The incident is being considered an act of terror.

Travis Air Force Base officials and the FBI said they are investigating the Wednesday night event in which the motorist died after crashing the vehicle at the military installation.

The vehicle was loaded with propane tanks as it ran through the main gate of the base. CBS News reports that the incident is being considered an act of terror.

The driver, whose identity is known by law enforcement but has not been released, ignited himself, causing the car to drive off the road and into a ditch.

The Austin bomber is dead after blowing himself up as police and FBI agents tried to arrest him in the early hours of Wednesday.

The bomber, a 24-year-old white male who lived locally, killed himself and injured an officer when he detonated a bomb inside his car as police surrounded him several miles north of the city around 3am.

Despite the death police have warned that more bombs could still be out there because they do not know where the bomber has been in the last 24 hours.

President Donald Trump, who was earlier criticized for failing to speak out over the shootings, tweeted 'Austin bombing suspect is dead' on Wednesday morning. 'Great job by law enforcement and all concerned,' he added.

Pipe Bomb Explodes At The Port Authority Bus Terminal In Midtown Manhattan. Suspect In Custody

There are reports of a terror attack in New York City, after an explosion was felt Monday morning in a Subway station near Times Square.

Commuters said they felt a blast in the Subway tunnels underneath the Port Authority Bus Terminal around 7:30am. The bus terminal is a major transit hub for people commuting to and from New Jersey by bus, and is located just a block from Times Square.

Police have taken one man into custody, who was carrying a pipe bomb with a battery back, a source told the New York Post. He was injured when the bomb malfunctioned, but is alive and in stable condition, according to the FDNY.

The NYPD said that so far, it appears that just the suspect was injured.

Daily Mail: ‘ISIS lives forever’: Uzbek man, 29, was planning New York attack for WEEKS and had knives along with ISIS flag and notes in truck when he killed eight and injured 12 by mowing them down on bike path

* Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, followed ISIS instructions for truck attacks which he found on social media
* Police say the father-of-three had been planning the attack for weeks before he carried it out on Halloween
* Inside the Home Depot truck he used, police found notes written in Arabic which said ISIS would live forever
* They also found 'multiple' knives and Saipov's pellet gun and paint gun were recovered at the scene

Terror Attack In New York City. 8 Killed, 15 Wounded

* The truck rammed into cyclists and runners on the West Side Highway on Tuesday shortly after 3pm
* Driver drove south from further uptown and mounted the bike path a few blocks above Chambers Street
* He mowed down several cyclists and runners, according to police sources, then crashed into a school bus
* The driver then reportedly got out of the Home Depot truck with fake guns in his hands and was shot by police
* The suspect survived and is in hospital but it remains unclear how many he injured in his path of destruction
* He had rented the truck from Home Depot which said it was cooperating with authorities after the attack

Seven people are feared dead after a truck mounted a bicycle path in lower Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon, mowing down cyclists and runners while shouting 'Allahu Akbar'.

The driver made his way from down towards Tribeca on the West Side Highway and mounted the bike path a few blocks north of Chambers Street shortly before 3pm.

After striking several cyclists and runners, he came to a stop when his truck crashed into a school bus beneath the Tribeca bridge.

The man then emerged with imitation guns in his hand and was shot in the leg by police. He survived and was taken to hospital but at least seven innocent people were killed and others are injured.
