Egypt's Unrest Is Now On The Soccer Field. 73 Killed, 1,000 Wounded



More Than 70 Fans Killed As Riots Break Out In Egypt Following Shock Result -- Daily Mail

At least 70 football fans have been killed after violence broke out following a match in Port Said in Egypt.

Fans flooded the field seconds after Al-Masry enjoyed a rare 3-1 win against Al-Ahly, Egypt’s top team.

They threw stones, fireworks, and bottles at the fans and injured some players in one of the worst incidents of sports violence in Egypt in decades.

A medic at a morgue in Port Said, a city on the Mediterranean coast, said some of the dead were security officers.
