My Comment: Everyone knows that Iran and Hezbollah are close allies .... a prospect that should concern everyone on both sides of the Israel-Lebanon border.

I disagree with this assessment. Hizbullah may be influenced by Iran on several levels, but I reckon they're a lot more independent than what Israel make them out to be.

Hezbollah does have a long history of acting independently. They are Arabs .... the Iranians are Persian. They share the same religion, but Lebanese Shiites have their own imams and religious leaders. But the slow disintegration of Syria must be raising a number of concerns within the Hezbollah leadership .... and with Iran becoming the last major ally for Hezbollah .... who knows what they will do now.
