Why America Is NOT The Greatest Country In The World, Anymore.
The clip is from Aaron Sorkin's 'The Newsroom'. As to my own take on the rant that Jeff Daniel's does in this vid .... a part of me says no-way .... another part of me nods my head and says .... yeah .... the U.S. is not that beacon on the hill anymore .... that we have lost what made us great for two centuries.
When I read your comment USSHelm, I went to your blog and saw that you had posted a video of President Reagan. Now here was a great man .... who was faced with problems that far surpasses what President Obama must face on any given day. But faced it he did because it was easy for him to do so .... he not only believed in American exceptionalism .... he lived it .... and so did the country.
Today .... we live in a void of such leadership and vision .... from all political parties .... and what is worst .... so is the country.
I hope that I am wrong .... but I am old enough to know that I am probably not. Being the greatest country in the world involves a lot of work and sacrifice .... a sentiment that is now (sadly) out of favor for most Americans.
We are still - at heart - a great country. We have elected a flock of liberals who have gutted everything that he says made us great and who have done their damndest to make sure that we do NOT teach our children our values any more, and instead teach them a bunch of Marxist crap.
I happen to think we ARE still the greatest country in the world, but only because the rest of the world has already descended into Marxism or Despotism or Tribalism.
We can get it back again - by going back to our V A L U E S. None of which have anything to do with our current crop of politicians, left or right.
I have been involved in numerous computer science projects since the 1980s, as well as developing numerous web projects since 1996.
These blogs are a summation of all the information that I read and catalog pertaining to the subjects that interest me.

You wouldn't happen where this came from (movie, TV show, political group, etc..), would you?
