North Korea Builds Online Troll Army Of 3,000 -- The Telegraph

North Korea has put together a team of 3,000 cyber warriors as part of attempts to build support for the regime of leader Kim Jong-Un and destabilize its enemies, according to a South Korean think tank.

The hackers include 200 agents who post anti-South Korean comments online to try to demoralise the population of the neighbouring country.

Agents use identities stolen from South Korean internet users and post comments on the country's internet bulletin boards, the institute said.

Hackers also spread propaganda by breaking into South Korean websites and linking them to pro-Pyongyang sites. North Korea defends its own websites by developing applications to stop Seoul blocking access and constantly changing IP addresses.

The institute says North Korea spreads propaganda through 140 sites with servers based in 19 countries.

3 thousand cyber warriors, wow! North Koreans are really upto something. Cyber crimes have gone viral since last decade. Things like "cyber army" must be there to fight back the criminals.
