— NSDC of Ukraine (@NSDC_ua) September 11, 2014The New Map Of The Ukraine Conflict Is Alarming -- Business Insider
Ukraine's military published a map that suggests Russian-backed forces have secured crucial territory between the stronghold of Russian-backed separatists and a strategic Ukrainian city.
A shaky cease-fire is currently in place in eastern Ukraine, although residents say it still feels like war.

My Comment: The last paragraph of this report sums up how dire the situation is ... and why Ukraine needed a ceasefire to put a stop to the conflict ....
.... Putin has a lot of things going for him in the medium-to-long term, including Ukraine's imploding economy, the threat of a further Russian invasion, the hesitance of Europe, the fact that winter is coming, and the state of Ukraine's battered army and militias.
In short .... things are not going to get better.

At what point will the Western press learn the Ukranian maps are lies? Cassad's maps had the length of the border down controlled by the separatists for weeks now.
I agree Black Knight, the Ukrainian maps have been slow, are using Cassad's maps since they are well updated, its true what you says that the length of the border has been under separatist control. I also sometime check UA maps another Ukrainian map site, they also showed the border under separatist control, they are very slow to update. The maps from NSDC is the most unreliable one, since they were very slow to show the border areas under separatist control and just recently fixed it, (the border i refer to is the one where the Ukrainian soldiers fled to Russia.)
