WNU,
Can you see what's written on that truck in the photo?

War News Updates Editor said...

It says Motorola (the p is an r in Russian). The Russian l is written like a "peak". What is written underneath it ... I cannot read. In short .... I would have to say that it is a sign that says "we are the motor pool".

I kinda had the Motorola, the underneath, yes is difficult. I used to deal with Russian Cyrillic in a prior lifetime, but obviously I've lost alot.

It's a reference to a Sabotage and Recon Group known under the leadership of a fighter who's nome de Guerre is Motorola.

Thanks for the heads up Jay. I did not know that.

Motorola and his squad are pretty famous, almost have their own you tube channel.

They have been front and center in much of the DPR military successes.

They are also quite telegenic, funny, cards, and yet very, very serious.

Their vids are quite instructive on how the DPR has been able to counter an neutralize the Ukrainian Army and the Paramilitary groups like Donbas and Aidar, both at the squad level and other factors.

If Motorola's Squad is now in the fight for the airport, the airport won't hold long.
