With 300k and guilt maybe he will take to drink.
As I understand it there are a lot of returning veterans steeped in guilt that turn to drink and who don't have $300K.
300K makes it much easier to drink.
A general discharge is not a mark of honor. Other veterans like myself will trust the military's investigation to have been fair. Only ideologues will make a fuss about this. Like the one in the video above.
You would think that Bergdahl would get a OTH and not a general discharge. My 2 cents.

I disagree about your assessment of Hunt and Shaffer.
It is political that they did not want to convene a court martial. Certainly there is enough smoke

It is much easier to lean on a few O6s and higher than take your chances with the people making up the report behind closed doors and a court martial or just a court martial.
