"Alot more Indians in them thar hills and they're mighty restless!" .... In those situations James I always remember this quote .... "there we were .... three against 1,000 .... and that is when I told my men to spread out".
Heh! WNU, who was that? Sounds like Bedford Forrest.
James ... I do not know where I first heard that quote .... but it has been with me for years .... even before I learned English. My guess it was from my dad or my uncle or any of their cronies .... and they got it from somewhere else. But it is a great quote. Optimism before certain defeat .... where at least you got out with style.
Bedford Forrest .... Civil War I think? I gotta Google him. He sounds very interesting.
WNU,
It's O/T, but if you want to Google someone try Hugh Glass. I have been where most of the story takes place.
Hugh Glass must have been Russian. Hmmmm .... Yuri Glasskov .... yup .... definitely Russian.
Must have been the Cossack in him. I would not have wanted to be one of the two guys that left him and he later found.
