Wall Street Journal: Israel Expresses Outrage Over Iran Deal

Israelis across political spectrum say they oppose an agreement they see upending the Middle East

TEL AVIV—After years of lobbying against an agreement over Iran’s nuclear program, Israelis across the political spectrum expressed outrage that six world powers were headed to a deal that many here see as upending the Middle East’s fragile balance of power.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had yet to make a statement Thursday night but earlier in the day he tweeted, “Any deal must significantly roll back Iran’s nuclear capabilities and stop its terrorism and aggression.”

A senior Israeli government official expressed broad skepticism that the announcement of an agreement framework met that mark.
