VOA: More Than 70 Dead in Al-Shabab Attack in Kenya

NAIROBI - More than 70 people have been killed and nearly 80 others wounded after al-Shabab militants attacked a university in northeastern Kenya, and hundreds of students are still unaccounted for, Kenya's interior ministry said.

Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery said although the total number of the attackers is still unknown, four gunmen have been killed, and that security agents are still fighting the militants at Garissa University College.

The gunmen stormed the college campus shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday and according to police, "indiscriminately" opened fire.
