Why The Rise Of Ukrainian Nationalists Is A Dangerous Development

Daily Mail: Shocking pictures from inside neo-Nazi military camp reveal recruits as young as SIX are being taught how to fire weapons (even though there's a ceasefire)

* Azov battalion, the far-right militia defending the port city of Mariupol, eastern Ukraine, runs the course for children
* During the week-long course, they teach so-called 'Azovets' how to fire weapons and survive in a conflict zone
* Camp comes under command of Andriy Biletsky, who once admitted that the battalion 'do not like ceasefire at all'
* Conflict broke out in April 2014, when separatists rebelled against rule of Kiev's new Western-looking government

They're the ultra-Nationalist swastika-loving battalion which is openly against the ceasefire agreed with pro-Russian separatists.

Now extremists from the Azov unit, a far-right neo-Nazi militia defending the port city of Mariupol in southeastern Ukraine, are teaching children as young as six how to fire guns in an attempt to entice them into the country's bloody conflict.

Disturbing pictures have emerged from a military summer camp held on the outskirts of Kiev which show members of the voluntary group teaching so-called 'Azovets' how to behave as young fighters.

Update #2: In Modern Ukraine, People of Color Need Not Apply -- Observer

WNU Editor: Both sides are using/training child soldiers (see above video). But in regards to Ukraine's ultra-nationalists .... I am not going to mince words on this subject .... these people have caused enormous harm to Ukraine while saying that they are there to protect it. And while much of he Ukrainian public despises these groups, they do enjoy the support of many top key leaders in the Ukraine government. Fortunately .... some U.S. lawmakers are starting to notice who and what these groups are .... Ukraine's Neo-Nazis Won't Get U.S. Money (Leonid Bershidsky, Bloomberg).

Yes Stephen Davenport the neo-nazis groups on the Russian side are just as bad, and fortunately they are hated just as much .... but they are not in the positions of power that these Ukraine groups are in, and they are not receiving support from the U.S. taxpayer.

Apart from the seriousness of the issue, "even though there's a ceasefire" seems a bit ridiculous. Do ceasefires also mean training has to stop particularly when ceasefires come and go with a regularity most seniors would envy.

I have seen these type of groups on both sides, and while I have heard of these "right sector" guys, I think you are exaggerating how powerful they are. I know of one incident in which one of them got killed a few weeks back, somewhere in Western Ukraine but its doubtful they are nothing more than a bunch of useful fodder for the donbas fighting. Like I said, I believe you have a bias against the Ukraine because you are or maybe Russian which is understandable. You make pretty good comments on everything else but Ukraine for some reason, in which you read like a paid Putin propagandist.

As far as this article goes, Is it an anti-right sector article or a concern that kids are field stripping weapons. Maybe they are teaching self-defense in case the bad guys make aplay for their city, who knows.
