RT: Over 70 percent of Russians support anti-ISIS airstrikes in Syria - poll

Over 70 percent of Russian citizens support their country’s Air Force operations against ISIS terrorists in Syria – and almost a half of them agree that it’s right to support Syria’s legitimate government and President Bashar Assad.

According to the latest research released by the Levada Center, an independent Russian pollster, 72 percent of Russians are positive about the airstrikes on Islamic State (previously ISIL/ISIS) positions. Fourteen percent were negative toward the operation, and the same share of people said they had no opinion on the subject.

WNU Editor: Only 70% .... it is a big majority but it is not overwhelming .... and I suspect that this number is soft. Among everyone that I know in Russia .... my family and friends are mostly voicing concerns and worries rather than support.

It's odd. Didn't far fewer people support going to Syria in the first place, mere days ago?

I support them to 100% as a swede since over 1000 people are coming as refugees to Sweden every day. They talk about raising taxes because of all costs. We should send some JAS and support the russians against Daesh
