Express: We can WIPE evil ISIS off the map in 14 DAYS: British generals bullish message to Cameron
A FULL-SCALE ground offensive in Syria using tanks and infantry would wipe Islamic State off the map in less than three weeks, according to senior generals.
Army commanders have made it clear to David Cameron in the wake of the Paris terror attacks that decisive action could rid the world of the evil Islamic cult.
Military commanders are also urging greater use of British officers to train local Kurdish fighters and have a firmer hand in tactics.
It is part of a raft of advice being given to David Cameron by both military and foreign office mandarins as he prepares for next week’s “full spectrum” report of British options to rid the world of the evil death cult.
WNU Editor: 14 days ?!?!?!?! A full scale invasion using tanks and infantry !?!?!?!?! But as ridiculous as this may sound (and it is), Britain is getting ready for war .... Britain is preparing for war against ISIS (Business Insider).

Never mind the small matter of Syrian sovereignty and international law. A trifling thing really as compared to this:
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/defence-and-security-blog/2014/feb/24/arms-gulf-prince-charles
That is a priceless picture RRH
Daesh has stated they want to draw in the rest of the world to the Middle East to fight the last war. They are baiting the world and it's working.
WNU Editor,
I think I mentioned my Grandfather was a WW2 combat veteran. He was also an ardent Canadian left nationalist. We were really close. The only thing he despised more than NAZIs was the British Monarchy.
I'll leave it at that.
Syrian sovereignty does not apply that ended with the attrocities against his oeople and the fact thst that is where the rats nest lies.
Maybe we shouldn't have entered germany due to there sovereignty .
This is a war, treat it as ine and tes it would be over in a few weeks.
International law does apply. Syria invaded no one. Hitler was celebrated in the "democracies" before the war started as they worked to sic him on the USSR. You should read such wonderful pieces of history such as Documents External Relations Canada from the period.
You are wilfully ignoring a great deal of relevant information implicating NATO members and allies and their links to Islamic fascists/terrorists. not to mention historical precedents.

We are not at war with Syria. I will not be stampeded by foolishness masquerading as decisive action borne of probity.
This is a serious issue with fundamental ramifications regarding the political and social order in our countries. We need to approach this with much more care and avoid the "worse than Hitler" mantras.
fazman,
Might want to read an actual history of the Syrian Civil War,
http://www.moonofalabama.org/2013/09/a-short-history-of-the-war-on-syria-2006-2014.html
Otherwise, you just come across as a supporter and enabler of terrorists.
And you might want to read up on the legal and actual histories of the concepts of National Soverignity. In the real world, Nations only lose Soverignity if they surrender it willingly to Corporations,
Or lose it in War, with Russian and Iranian backing, Syrian Soverignity is well assured and well protected, no matter what Neo-con fantasies you cling to.
" In the real world, Nations only lose Soverignity if they surrender it willingly to Corporations, "
And since you brought it up, that particular brand of bullshiggity needs to stop.
Obviously they can, materially. Any major nation can. Trouble is, it won't, for political reasons and those of morale.
As for the other matter, between America's invasion of Iraq, Russia's annexation of Crimea and countless other, less dramatic actions, I don't believe international law applies anywhere, really. It is no more binding than the laws of the Holy Roman Empire in the last decades of its existence. Let us avoid the international law mantras that are always whipped out by people and powers to oppose wars they don't like but are conveniently forgotten when they come across a one they favour. The real arguments against violating Syria's sovereignty have nothing to do with it - but also, everyone is de facto violating its sovereignty anyway (bombings are a violation of sovereignty), so it's too late.
Daniel,
"International Law" hasn't really applied since the Yugoslav Wars and Kosovo.
The tricky part is that "enforcement" relies on either "international cooperation", or strength of laws.
Crimea for example. Russia had another 17 years to go on their baseing rights, but the Coup Ukraine decided the Treaties no longer applied. Funny that.
Since the Lebanon War, Syria was no longer able to ensure Syrian Sovereignity against the IAF, but Russia can, if they are willing.
We will "see", soon, a couple of months, which way it goes.
Ain't nuclear brinkmanship fun?
Correct
Daniel exactly correct 100%, Jay needs to file his post along with the paramount pictures moon landing.
Sovereignty is an illusion, sovereignty is lost the minute a foreign bomb hits the dirt.
What the otigins and causes that birthed isis are totally irrelevant at the current time the issue is how to eradicate the threat now.
Their is no nuclear brinkmanship there is no nuclear threat.MAD doctrine has held firm threw far worse crisis than this and will hold firm now.
Contrary to popular belief the most likley threat will be india and Pakistan
fazman,
Assad's going to be around for a long time, get used to that.
Since Kosovo, it has been clear to the more astute, that National Soverignity is based on UNSC veto's, and a nations abilities to defend itself, almost like 12th Century Europe.
Russia, Iran and China are the current "guaranteor's" of Syrian Soverignity.
We are back in the early days of 1912, 1913, should be fun.
More so the constant whaaambulances in the MSM.
fazman,
Not gonna stop. Western politicians ain't gonna stop until their entire non 1% population is sold back into slavery and serfdom.
Did you know that the TPP enshrines actual slavery?
War with isis is not war with syria syria has always been impotent being hit left and right and centre at will.
Syria has not threatened war beyond its borders and has done what the u.s govt would do if faced with a popular revolution.
Ignore Assad and go after isis not piece meal or do we have to wait until there is an atrocity Moscow and let Putin be the saviour of the west and east.
Not paying attention are you.
Syria hasnt had sovereignty since the first u.s airstrike by your definition.
I agree leave Assad in power leave him the hell alone once that concessoon is made neither Russia Syria or lran will give a damn what we do militarily as everyone will be on the same page.
Take Assad out of the equation and isis is done along with other affiliates
I dont think your paying attention this talk of nuclear brinkmanship is a fantasy straight out of COD.
Kind of seems that way doesn't it!
