U.K. MoD Releases Footage Of Recent Drone Strike On ISIS

Daily Mail: Operation Hellfire: Dramatic moment RAF pilots use drone-controlled single missile to stop ISIS public execution 2,000 miles away as it's revealed secret strikes in Iraq and Syria have stopped terror attacks on British soil

Secret strikes by RAF warplanes against jihadists in Iraq and Syria have stopped a series of home-grown terror attacks, a top commander reveals today.

Air Commodore Johnny Stringer admitted British citizens had also been killed in the missions against Islamic State strongholds.

The extremist group has a special unit dedicated to mounting atrocities in the UK and Europe, he said.

British Soldiers Want To Join The Fight For Mosul

The Guardian: Britain's most experienced sniper tells of his frustration in Iraq

Soldier training Iraqi army in remote base says he would love to help fight against Isis in Mosul but has not been allowed out.

One of the most experienced snipers in the British army, who is currently based in Iraq, says he has not been allowed beyond the perimeter fence of Camp al-Asad, a remote, highly fortified base in the desert of Anbar province.

The soldier, one of a few hundred British special forces in the country, told reporters that he “would love to go out”. “I would go to Mosul tomorrow,” he said, but added that he had been told to help train Iraqi soldiers instead.

Part of a 500-strong British contingent in Iraq, the sniper’s confinement to camp is partly down to the risk-averse mood of the UK parliament – and the British public – following hundreds of personnel deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan. Although the MoD never comments on special forces, a few are engaged near the frontline in the fight to retake Mosul from Islamic State (Isis), but the bulk are engaged in training either the Iraqi army or the Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga.

The men's bravery has not been acknowledged because defence chiefs refuse to confirm the ground war being fought by elite British troops in war ravaged Iraq and Syria, it is claimed.

In the ten minute long propaganda video, five shackled men dressed in orange jumpsuits 'confessed' to spying for British security services.

One of the masked executioners, who spoke in a clear British accent, threatened David Cameron before killing the unarmed prisoners.

UK Government Says First Airstrikes Against Islamic State Targets In Syria Were Successful

Reuters: British bombers strike Islamic State oil fields in Syria

British bombers made their first strikes on Islamic State in Syria on Thursday, hitting oil fields that Prime Minister David Cameron says are being used to fund attacks on the West.

Tornado bombers took off from the Royal Air Force Akrotiri air base in Cyprus just hours after British lawmakers voted 397-223 to support Cameron's plan for air strikes, a Reuters witness said. They returned to base safely several hours later.

The four aircraft used laser-guided bombs to attack six targets in the Omar oil fields in eastern Syria controlled by the Islamist militant group which British officials call Daesh, using an Arabic acronym that the group rejects.

British Generals: We Can Defeat The Islamic State In 14 days

Express: We can WIPE evil ISIS off the map in 14 DAYS: British generals bullish message to Cameron

A FULL-SCALE ground offensive in Syria using tanks and infantry would wipe Islamic State off the map in less than three weeks, according to senior generals.

Army commanders have made it clear to David Cameron in the wake of the Paris terror attacks that decisive action could rid the world of the evil Islamic cult.

Military commanders are also urging greater use of British officers to train local Kurdish fighters and have a firmer hand in tactics.

It is part of a raft of advice being given to David Cameron by both military and foreign office mandarins as he prepares for next week’s “full spectrum” report of British options to rid the world of the evil death cult.

Britain will boost its intelligence agency staff by 15 percent and more than double spending on aviation security to defend against Islamist militants plotting attacks from Syria, Prime Minister David Cameron said on Monday.

Britain said it had decided to bolster its defenses in the wake of the growing number of plots against Britain and recent attacks, including those in Paris and Tunisia, with Cameron saying Britain had foiled seven potential attacks in the last six months.

* Doubts raised about legal basis for the use of RAF Reaper drones
* Warning families of the dead Britons could now sue the UK government

The RAF has killed three ISIS militants in Syria, among them two Britons including one plotting 'murder on our streets', David Cameron revealed today.

In a dramatic Commons statement, the Prime Minister revealed the target of the RAF drone strike in the ISIS capital of Raqqa was Reyaad Khan, 21, from Cardiff.

Khan, who is believed to have arrived in Syria in 2013, was accused of being behind murderous plots on the streets of Britain and there was 'no other means to stop him'.

But Mr Cameron was forced to defend launching military action without asking for MPs' approval in advance.

SAS To Use Sniper Gunship Against The Islamic State

IN ACTION: A sniper shoots to kill on a sortie in Afghanistan

Mirror: SAS ready to send its sniper gunship into battle against Islamic State terrorists

THE SAS are ready to dispatch a sniper gunship to kill terrorists in Iraq and Syria, the Daily Star Sunday can reveal.

The battle-proven aircraft is a specially converted RAF Chinook helicopter equipped with sniper firing positions and a multi-barrel mini-gun.

The SAS has been fighting in Iraq and Syria for the past year but top brass now want the elite force to carry out more raids against Islamic State thugs.

Chancellor George Osborne said yesterday that the current Syrian refugee crisis must be dealt with “at source”, his comments coming as senior Tories demand RAF air strikes against IS in Syria.

The sniper gunship is one of the most deadly weapons in the SAS arsenal. Snipers inside the aircraft can engage multiple ground targets using highly accurate rifles.

WNU Editor: This must be an impressive weapons platform. Aside from a few blurred images that have been published on what is inside this converted Chinook helicopter, there are no other pictures or videos of it in action.

Report: Islamic State Bombers In UK Ready To Attack

SKY News: Exclusive: IS Bombers In UK Ready To Attack

By posing online as two individuals committed to jihad, Sky News gains a disturbing new insight into the extremists' tactics.

Islamic State is now focused on urging British would-be recruits to carry out "lone wolf" attacks in the UK instead of travelling to fight in Syria, Sky News has learned.

Fictional characters created online by Sky with an undercover freelance journalist were sent terror guidebooks by senior jihadists in Syria - including advice on raising funds and making weapons.

And we were told IS already has a number of potential bombers in the UK - some of whom have been trained in Syria and are ready to attack.

By posing on Twitter and in chatrooms as two individuals committed to jihad - one male, one female - we have gained a disturbing new insight into the extremists' tactics.

Express.co.uk: Hero SAS sniper saves father and eight-year-old son from being beheaded by ISIS maniac

A HERO SAS sniper gunned down a knife-wielding Islamic State (ISIS) maniac just as he was trying to brutally behead a father and his young son.

The brave British marksman saved the terrified eight-year-old and his father after taking out the crazed jihadi with a head shot from 1,000 metres away.

The special forces crack shot then killed two other members of the hated terror group, who were also taking part in the sick planned execution.

ISIS militants had decreed that the little boy and his father must die after branding them "infidels" because they refused to denounce their faith.

They were just seconds from death when the hero sniper intervened to stop the barbaric killing in the Syrian desert. The pair were part of the minority Shia sect of Islam which ISIS considers to be heretical.

British Pilots Are Conducting Airstrikes In Syria

UK forces have been taking part in coalition operations against ISIS in Iraq.

Daily Mail: Fury as Cameron admits he knew British RAF pilots were carrying out ISIS airstrikes 'by stealth' in Syria

* UK pilots embedded with allies' forces conducted airstrikes over Syria
* House of Commons voted against taking military action in Syria in 2013
* Three British pilots were with US and Canada who took part in strikes
* MoD said embedded personnel are effectively operating as foreign troops

David Cameron was today accused of authorising British involvement in airstrikes in Syria 'by stealth' after it emerged RAF pilots were bombing ISIS targets.

Downing Street said the Prime Minister knew the British aircrew were embedded with US and Canadian forces carrying out strikes and 'what they were doing'.

But the arrangement appeared at odds with reassurances that MPs would vote before any action in Syria, which the SNP's Alex Salmond said condemned as 'entirely unacceptable'.

WNU Editor: So much for the British parliamentary vote in 2013 that prohibited this. U.K. Prime Minister Cameron Wants The BBC To Stop Using The Phrase 'Islamic State'

The Guardian: BBC to review use of 'Islamic State' after MPs protest against term

More than 120 MPs, backed by David Cameron, sign letter saying name gives legitimacy to terrorist group that is neither Islamic nor a state.

The BBC is reviewing its use of the term “Islamic State” after a cross-party group of MPs, backed by David Cameron, accused the broadcaster of legitimising the terrorist group by continuing to use the name in its journalism.

A BBC spokesman said the corporation would consider the letter, signed by 120 MPs and sent to the BBC director general, Tony Hall, last week, but that it had had little choice other than to call the group “by the name it uses itself”.
