It isn't free fall, the area has been and is under assault from the US and its Turkey/Gulf allies against their perceived enemies, the Iran/Iraq/Syria/Hezbollah axis. But never fear, Russia is here, despite how much the Hudson Institute neocon experts complain and declaim.
