WNU Editor: What I find interesting about this meeting is not what was made public on what was discussed .... it is what was not mentioned in the public statements. In this case .... no mention of the Iran deal and the lifting of sanctions.

WNU Editor,

It's "best" for Egypt to keep any discussions of the 5+1 quiet.

Egypt is reliant on US Military and Economic aid, (#2 recipient after Israel),

And dependent on Saudi "charity", enough to send a token commitment in the form of some ships to add to the blockaide of Yemen, but no aircraft or the ground forces Saudi Arabia demanded.

The Sisi Military Government has a much different view than the Saudi's on Militant Islamicism, what with the mess of Lybia next door and occasionally spilling over, the coup against the Muslim Brotherhood, and the insurrection in the Sinai.

They are in the process of normalizing relations with Iran.
