Punishments ranged from a letter of reprimand to suspensions without pay for up to 45 days, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said in a statement.

If this was happening under G.W.Bush, it would be a huge scandal....
As was claimed a long time ago, the purpose of all the data collection and taps on American's, is not to "defend against terror", or National Security,
But instead Blackmail, the old Hoover Program.
As a result this incident can't be allowed to become a "big scandal", as that exposes the Blackmail program.
Jay. a big thank you from the GF. She is implementing your recommendations on making her home more energy efficient. She asked me about your hand yesterday.
It's getting there. Tendon damage sucks.
It's good she's started in on the energy efficiency, and it's the right time to start.
Each little step adds up.
The U.S. government has and will always leak like a sieve. Government emp!oyees have not taken a Hitler Oath to remain loyal to a single person but to the Constitution. The corruption, ineptness, and outright lies often overwhelm employees who feel that they can no longer stay silent. Likely these guys have so much illegality dirt in their possession on our leadership and their employees that they were given token punishments. People who work at the national level see it all the time but are afraid for their jobs and pensions. We often cheer when somebody has the guts to shine a light.
They swear to protect the Constitution but haven't the means to actually do so.
