i24 News: 'Obama to raise concerns over settlements during meeting with Netanyahu'
White House says meeting will focus on viability of Palestinian state in face of settlement activity
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with US President Barack Obama on Wednesday in New York, in a meeting that will focus on peace efforts between Israel and the Palestinians.
Netanyahu is expected to personally thank the US President for the security assistance agreement that was signed last week, Netanyahu's office said in a statement.
"We are in the midst of a very important diplomatic week for the State of Israel," he said upon his departure. "I am leaving now for the United States. There I will first meet with President Obama and I will thank him for the great and important security assistance to the State of Israel over the coming decade."
