Politico: Trump says he's consulted Obama on Cabinet picks
President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday that he is taking advice on his political appointees from the man he spent months railing against on the campaign trail: President Barack Obama.
Trump said on NBC’s “Today” that he has sought the president’s advice on the candidates for various appointment-level positions and, in at least one case so far, has acted on that advice.
“I have asked him what he would think of this one and that one,” Trump said. “I would say that, yes, I take his recommendations very seriously, and there are some people that I will be appointing, and in one case have appointed, where he thought very highly of that person, yes.”
The president-elect declined to say which of his appointees thus far have been endorsed by Obama, telling anchor Matt Lauer that to disclose such information would be unfair to the president.

WNU Editor: President Obama still has control on the levers of power .... so yes .... President-elect Trump is going to be differential and respectful. But when I look at the latest cabinet picks .... LOL .... I doubt very much that President Obama gave his approval on these picks. But President Obama is in a quandary .... what can he say after President-elect Trump has praised him .... say no? For someone who has no political experience .... President-elect Trump is showing (at least to me) that he is actually very shrewd when it comes to politics. But here is an easy prediction and one that you can take to the bank .... when President-elect Trump settles in the White House and he controls the levers of power .... watch-out .... the tone from a President Trump is going to be different.
Update: Someone has asked me on his cabinet picks. This is what I have noticed so far. Almost all of these individuals have retired from leadership positions. They are not donors (this is a very important point in my book). And they have a world view that is backed up with a lot of practical life experience.
