CNN: CNN’s president has fired a warning shot at Donald Trump
Don't mess with CNN.
That's the unvarnished version of a message that the network's president, Jeff Zucker, delivered to President-elect Donald Trump in an interview published on Thursday by New York magazine.
"One of the things I think this administration hasn’t figured out yet is that there’s only one television network that is seen in Beijing, Moscow, Seoul, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Baghdad, Tehran and Damascus — and that’s CNN," Zucker said. "The perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN. Continuing to have an adversarial relationship with that network is a mistake."

"Moments after Spicer's statement, he was being skewered on social media. Some even dubbed him "Baghdad Bob," a reference to Saddam Hussein's press spokesman who would lie so openly it was actually laughable."
"(CNN) Donald Trump's White House counselor Kellyanne Conway coined a new term Sunday morning when she stated that White House Press secretary Sean Spicer was not lying about the size of the crowd at Trump's inauguration. Instead, Conway claimed, Spicer simply told us "alternative facts."
It's truly hilarious that the Trump team, so vocally opposed to political correctness, is now being PC in describing a lie. Sorry, Kellyanne, I'm not buying it. "Alternative facts," as NBC's Chuck Todd so accurately put it in response to you on the air, "are not facts, they're falsehoods!"
Just like removing MLK jr bust in the White House. So, so many fake/alternate news stories. As Pilate said to Jesus.. what is truth????
LMAO
Trump Admin response could have been better on this rather than calling out what could inevitably be a 'rare fact' of reporting as a lie.
The media wanted to make an issue out of this; they have. The Trump Admin, like a squirming withering fish caught on a hook, have taken the bait and are now looking to save face while trying to bow out.
It's not about keeping their response PC or 'polite' but rather not falling into what is most certainly an obvious bait trap. They should have been the better's for it and not made an issue.
Now they have. Tut tut.
Deep breaths Jay...this will help ease the pain.

There's an old medieval proverb,
God punishes all knaves and fools, but the fools first.

@Jay
"730 production, 70 office, 300 Research/Engineers stay. 600 other jobs go to Mex by next December" after delving deeper into it.
Seems like a failure on his promise than anything else.
But the media would have a field day with this - I wonder will the often 'trump bias' WNE make a post on this with his comments.
The disappearance of manufacturing jobs to countries like Mexico has been ongoing long before Trump became President .... and if it continues as in the case of Carrier .... the blow-back against Trump and the establishment that supports this will only grow with time. And while it is easy to blame someone like Trump for this mess .... passing judgement/condemnation/and calling him a liar .... even though he has been in office for 3 days .... I (like most people) will give him the courtesy of time .... and then pass judgement 2 or 3 years from now (or sooner) on whether or not he is a success or failure. I have done this with every President and Prime Minister .... President Trump will not be an exception.
As to the Trump-media kerfuffle over how may people showed up .... in the entire scheme of things this will amount to nothing. But for the media .... that was wrong during the primaries, that was wrong during the presidential campaign, and have been wrong ever since .... Jay's quote of an old medieval proverb .... God punishes all knaves and fools, but the fools first .... is incredibly appropriate for those who follow the media blindly in what they say and believe .... after-all ... their track record for the past year is there for all to see.
As for the big news .... TPP, government employee freezes, NAFTA, a massive deficit, and the multiple wars that America now finds itself involved in .... I do not know how President Trump's address of these issues will ultimate play out .... but I do hope that he succeeds .... because if he doesn't .... the alternative is not going to be pleasant.
TPP was a "surround" China trade deal.
Instead,

Problem with that is this; Trump administration is in a position where it can (and does) call out anything it want as fact vs the media. Indeed, the media has got it wrong on many occasions, but what about the blind fool?
Cause... you'd want to be blind to not consider that they may have been correct on the inauguration numbers. Never mind about how many streamed it or viewed it online, the point was about how many turned up at the event itself. For which, the Trump Admin. has called it a lie.
And now they are setting a precedent that only the Trump administration speaks the gospel of truth, and no other.
It's one thing to not believe; it's another to always consider that anything the media spits out is a falsehood by default. That's tinfoil hat time.
Just keep talking Jeff ole buddy.
Let me get this straight, you're asserting that we should not trust the mainstream media, yet you've just posted articles produced by CNN, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and various other mainstream media outlets. Perhaps you should instead advise the persons who follow your news aggregation service that they need to be informed and critical thinkers? Or are your simply comfortable with the gulf between your rhetoric and the reality of the news you choose to share?
Anon. Scepticism, critical thinking, that is a given for me. It is also why I am always using multiple sources from different countries for this blog. The U.S. has one point of view. Europe another. Russia/China/etc. .... have another.
