Israeli intelligence officials fear that top-secret information that has been exposed to the United States will be leaked to Russia—and from Russia to its close ally, Iran.
Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration as the next president of the United States is causing Israeli intelligence officials to lose sleep as well. Discussions held in closed forums recently raised fears of a leakage of Israeli intelligence top-classified information, clandestine modus oprandi and sources, which have been exposed to the American intelligence community over the past 15 years, to Russia – and from there to Iran.
The cause of concern are the suspicions of unreported ties between the president-elect or his associates and the Kremlin, whose agents are also associated with intelligence officials in Tehran.

Normally, reports made to Presidents, Administrations and Commitee's are "stripped" as much as possible of "sources and methods", to ensure Operations, Assets, etc arn't "blown".
In the case of publically released intel, misdirection is often added.
However, Intel Agencies have various peer to peer Agreements that include some sharing of some "sources and methods", as a trust building exercise for the intelligence.
While steps can be taken to ensure the incoming Administration won't have access to Israeli "sources and methods", simply by not sharing them with US Intel,
That doesn't stop the incoming Administration from "reviewing" old files.
There is something strange: if US intelligence really tell Israel "don't trust the US President" how can it give any US information to our President on a daily basis? There is something fishy, the current US Intel is highly politicized by Obama and I would not be surprised it's an other "bad hit" from him.
Being serious: either the US Intel know something very dangerous and it has to be publicly shown for stopping Trump to be President or there is nothing and the US Intel has to tell publicly this news is wrong.
It's about "sources and methods".
President's, Intel Commitees etc don't get told:

If true, this report means that the US Intelligence Agencies believe that the Trump Administration is going to leak like a sieve.

If I'm POTUS, I better be told the "sources and methods" and they WILL be explained to me how they work and until I'm TOTALLY satisfied that I understand these "sources and methods" we will NOT act on ANYTHING they present. Assuming these people had a good track record, we might be able to stop here. Unfortunately these people don't have a good track record. As such, additional steps will need to be taken.
As an additional step, someone I COMPLETELY trust who nas the appropiate skill sets will be present at all meetings to assist me in evaluating information which WILL include "sources and methods." Failure of top officials to agree to and adhere to such an arrangement will result in their IMMEDIATE dismissal to the full extent of my ability to make that happen AND if I cannot dismiss them they WILL be ignored and dismissed as the bull sh!tters they are. In other words, they will be held in utter contempt. After all, if what they present is true and correct, there is no reason for them not to agree to such reasonable terms. Hence those who won't agree to xuch ovetsight are unworthy of attenion except for ridicule.
Now as for whether or not Israel should release intellegence to the Trump Administration, the US government has always leaked like a sieve. As such, the Trump Administration will need to establish that they can be trusted before releasing anything to them. Israel doesn't need the United States. As such, there's no reason for them to be overly concerned with what America or it's government think.
During the early Cold War, Truman to Kennedy, 936 US assets in the Soviet Union, and 348 Operations were compromised, because the POTUS Briefing included "sources and methods".

In my response to the editors post, I assumed POTUS would not reveal "sources and methods" to the public. As a business person, Mr. Trump will no doubt understand the pitfalls of doing such things. Everybody in the room, except for the DNI Briefer, is a member of the Trump Administration, sometimes for some presentations, as many as 2 dozen people.
If Comey stays, and isn't fired, then other than the FBI, all the other Alphabet Agencies Directors and Assistant Directors, 2 to 4 per 16 Agencies, through whom their Deparment's portion of the PDB will pass, are members of the Trump Administration.

During the Bush Administration, the White House set up the Office of Special Plans in the White House Basement, ( similar to Cheney's Team B Missile Gap Hoaxers).
The OSP compiled the PDB from the Alpabet Agencies raw reports and assessments, removed all the caveats like "maybe, possibly, could, might, we suspect, ", removed all the dissenting reports and analysis, then "stovepiped" it to the President, the Administration and Congress.
They also gave "exclusive leaks" to NeoCons in the media and coordinated with the British Politicians , French and others to not only "cook" the intelligence, but create fake reports like the Niger Forgeries and the supression of the Kamal interviews.
The OSP went away with the Bush II Administration, and as a result, the PDB is rarely a "slam dunk" anymore, but instead is filled with lots of "maybe's and maybe nots".
It takes a "smart" man to navigate their way through the PBD, and turn it into effective policy, given all the competing interests in the various arms of the US Government.
