There seems to be some confusion at CNBC and the NYTs. This is an excerpt from Trump's statement:
“While Russia, China, other countries, outside groups and people are consistently trying to break through the cyber infrastructure of our governmental institutions, businesses and organizations including the Democrat National Committee, there was absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election including the fact that there was no tampering whatsoever with voting machines,”
This somewhat different from the report of CNBC:
"Emerging from a 90-minute briefing with the nation’s intelligence chiefs, Mr. Trump issued a statement acknowledging the hacking of"
or the NYTs:
"■ President-elect Donald J. Trump declared that the hacking of “the Democrat National Committee” had “absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election” after the nation’s intelligence chiefs briefed him at Trump Tower."
Both reported that Trump said there was a "hack", but neither quoted him saying that and his own statement did not say there was a hack.

And the NYTs, Washington Post, CNBC, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, all struggle to understand why they are not believed by a large number of americans.

true, very interesting to note here that the media/press(when america was founded) was intended to expose corruption not cover it up or distort the truth.

here are some reasons why anyone that gives a shite about freedom and is equipped with basic critical thinking skills has completely abandoned aforementioned media outlets:

1. failing journalistic standards to the point of complete lack of objectivity in reporting. (the golden age of objective reporting is gone)

2. the rise of opinion based reporting that is primarily propagated by a leftist anti-american/western/judeo-christian/anglo/freedom viewpoint, force fed into the brains of any useful tool drone that will eat it up.

Anon,
I don't know if the press ever was objective. After all they are a collection of human beings which means they are flawed to start with which would make true objectivity pretty hard. I have though never have seen them this united in partisanship coupled with such incompetence that they make errors this bad.

A big tough to take seriously a post by "Anon" on failing standards etc with no supporting evidence except the Fox-like snarky anti leftist remarks.
American intel--ie, CIA, FBI, claim hacking; Russia gloats. But now we are to believe Putin and Trump as truth tellers? How the Right has changed since the days of the Hollywood ten etc
