China's State TV Shows Rare Footage Of A Live-Fire Drill Over South China Sea



Daily Mail: Rare footage shows China's home-built fighter bombers in action as Beijing conducts live-fire drill over South China Sea

* China's state TV showed footage of a live-fire drill over disputed waters
* 'Flying Leopard' fighter jets were sent to detect and expel 'foreign enemies'
* Pilots also practised firing naval mines and missiles during the exercises

Beijing has showcased its self-built fighter bombers, 'Flying Leopard', during a live-fire drill over the South China Sea.

Footage of the mock battle was aired yesterday on the China Central Television Station (CCTV), the nation's state broadcaster.

The two-seat fighter jets took part in a series of exercises. One of them involved the detection and expulsion of foreign military surveillance aircraft, such as those deployed regularly in the area by the U.S. and others.
