Is The Russian And Chinese Air Force Pathetic?

The Next Big Future: China and Russia’s Air Forces Exposed in Actual Combat

Russia’s Air Force is getting wrecked in the Ukraine War. China’s Air Force is mainly copies of the same Russian planes that are getting wrecked in the Ukraine.

The US military has no interest in telling everyone how pathetic the Russian and Chinese Air Force is. Why? The US military wants to justify getting more planes and more equipment. The collapse of the Soviet Union and now the failure of the Russian military in the Ukraine has exposed the planes and pilots of potential American opponents as garbage.

China’s Mysterious ‘6th-Generation Stealth Fighter’ Spotted On Simulator Screen At AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China)

File Image: China’s Tailless Fighter

EurAsian Times: Rival Or Copy Of NGAD? China’s Mysterious ‘Stealth Fighter’ Spotted On Screen That Looks Quite Similar To US 6th-Gen Design

Once again, a very interesting image that points towards China developing a fixed-wing, sixth-generation fighter jet has gone viral on social media.

Earlier this week, a mysterious stealth fighter was spotted on the computer screen at the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).

The photo was taken by an anonymous user and initially posted to the Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo with little to no additional details.

From the look, the fighter-sized aircraft concept appears to be a tailless, twin-engine, flying wing design similar to the sixth-generation fighter concepts like the American NGAD or the British Tempest sixth-generation fighter jet.

Even though the photo’s veracity could not be independently established, it is in line with the assumption and the evidence that suggests China is indeed focusing on a tailless configuration for its sixth-generation fighter jet.

Was A Chinese High-Altitude Airship Spotted Recently Near The South China Sea?

Images of a stratospheric, long-endurance airship, said to have been taken near Subic Bay in the northern Philippines, were shared on social media. Photo: Facebook

SCMP: Mystery airship spotted over Philippines near South China Sea

* Images of an unidentified craft near Subic Bay have sparked speculation it could have been collecting military intelligence

*There is no evidence the airship was from China, though its design appears similar to types on display at the Zhuhai air show

An unidentified high-altitude, long-endurance airship spotted near a former US naval base in the Philippines has raised concerns that some countries in the region are using stratospheric airships to collect military intelligence.

Images of the stratospheric airship - allegedly taken in Pangasinan province, about 100km (62 miles) from Subic Bay in the northern Philippine island of Luzon - were first posted on Facebook last weekend. The pictures were deleted, but not before they were also shared on Twitter.

Is China's J-20 Fighter A Superior Plane Than The F-22?

19FortyFive: Could China’s J-20 Stealth Fighter Really Beat the F-22 Raptor in Battle?

While it might almost seem like a question for a video game, U.S. Air Force planners are getting ready for a time when U.S. stealth fighters like the F-22 and F-35 could have to battle against China’s J-20 stealth fighter. Who would come out on top? An American veteran F-22 pilot took on a virtual representation of China’s Chengdu J-20 stealth fighter from the seat of a very real aircraft in flight back in 2020. The Chinese fighter was projected on the pilot’s augmented reality helmet-mounted display, giving a real pilot in a real aircraft the opportunity to train against a seemingly real foreign opponent. According to the two firms responsible for the test, this marks the first time such an engagement with a virtual adversary has ever been achieved.

The jet was introduced to China‘s People’s Liberation Army Air Force in March 2017. Manufactured by Sichuan province-based Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group, the jet is one of China’s most advanced military weapons.

It made its public debut in November 2016 at the Zhuhai air show in Guangdong, China.

The J-20 is only the third fifth-generation jet fighter aircraft in history, after the US-made Lockheed Martin F-22 and F-35 jets. The Chinese Air Force had a fleet of more than 50 J-20 jets in 2021.

Is China's J-20 Stealth Fighter Jet A Significant Threat?

Zero Hedge/Epoch Times: How Good Is China's J-20 Stealth Fighter Jet?

How good is China’s most advanced fighter jet, the J-20? The J-20 is a “fifth-generation” combat aircraft, which ostensibly puts it in the same league as the U.S. F-22 and F-35.

Fifth-generation fighters have certain common characteristics: very low visibility (stealth), the ability to fly at supersonic speeds without using an afterburner (called supercruise), and, most importantly, a highly advanced radar and suite of avionics and onboard computers for “networked data fusion,” enabling situational awareness in the battlespace.

China's First Stealth Fighter For Aircraft Carriers Has A Weight Problem

An FC-31 fighter jet. Reuters

Insider: China's first stealth fighter for aircraft carriers is emerging, but a big problem still weighs it down

* China's FC-31 stealth fighter was recently spotted on a mock aircraft carrier.

* Little is known for sure about the FC-31, but that appearance is a sign China's navy may adopt it.

* Like China's other advanced jets, the FC-31 has shortcomings that keep it from matching up with its US counterparts.

China's J-20 fifth-generation stealth fighter is the most vaunted aircraft in the People's Liberation Army Air Force's (PLAAF) inventory.

Its deployments near Taiwan and the Indian border in the past year were clear shows of strength, as was the appearance of 15 J-20s — 10% of the fleet, its largest public display yet — at the Chinese Communist Party's centenary celebrations in Beijing last month.

While the J-20 is China's only stealth fighter in service, it's not the only one China has built.

The FC-31, the J-20's lesser-known cousin, isn't in service with the PLAAF, but a model was recently spotted on a mock aircraft carrier, indicating that China's navy may adopt the fighter — most likely for use in the future air wings of its new carriers.

Insider: China's air force has big plans for its biggest planes

* China's rapidly growing military has impressed and worried its rivals.

* China's strategic airlift fleet is the fastest-growing in the world.

* That fleet's expansion reflects Beijing's broader military ambitions.

China's rapidly growing military has added dizzying numbers of ships and aircraft, but the fastest-growing platform may be its airlifters, the heavy-duty planes designed to haul troops and supplies.

China now operates 11% of the strategic airlifters in service but is set to reach 18% by the end of the 2020s, making it the fastest-growing fleet in the world, according to Aviation Week.

Like other Chinese military hardware, the airlift fleet is based on Soviet-era designs.

Since the 1990s, Beijing has used a small number of Il-76s and variants for transport and other missions.

China Boasts That Fighter Jets Piloted By Artificial Intelligence Are Routinely Defeating Pilots In Dogfights

China is using fighter jets flown by AI in training missions and claims they are now capable of defeating human pilots (file image, a Chinese) J-20 stealth fighter

Daily Mail: China's AI fighter pilots are 'better than humans' and have DEFEATED them in test flights

* Chinese fighter pilots are being pitted against plane flown by AI in training

* Renowned pilot Fang Guoyu was recently 'shot down' by one of the computers

* Fang said the plane used his own tactics against him, adding that he is not the only flying ace to have been defeated by the machines

* It is thought AI will eventually be used to aid human pilots during combat

Chinese fighter jets piloted by artificial intelligence are becoming better than humans and routinely defeat pilots in dogfights, the country's military has claimed. Fang Guoyu, a pilot and aerial combat champion, was recently 'shot down' by one of the craft during a simulated dogfight, according to state-run media.

'This is not the first time the renowned Fang was shot down by the AI, and Fang is not the only ace the AI has defeated,' the military-run PLA Daily reported.

Naval News: First Sighting Of New Stealth Fighter For Chinese Navy’s Aircraft Carriers

The Chinese Navy is massively expanding its fleet, with at least three aircraft carriers at its vanguard. Yet these lack low-observable fighters. But that is expected to change. A new image offers the first look at the new stealthy fighter.

Overshadowed by the Chengdu J-20 stealth fighter, the Shenyang FC-31 may be the China’s dark horse. The J-20 has already entered service with the Chinese Air Force (PLAAF) and is, broadly, their equivalent of the F-22 Raptor. The FC-31 meanwhile is seen as a cheaper and less capable alternative. And significantly it was a private project by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation so does not get the same level of government support.

Chinese Testing A Jet Engine That Will Be ‘Able To Reach Anywhere On Earth Within 2 Hours’

The hypersonic wind-tunnel. Photo: Handout

 * Prototype flown in hypersonic wind tunnel simulating flight conditions at nine times the speed of sound
 * The ‘sodramjet’ engine could offer the biggest hope so far of commercial flight reaching hypersonic speed, the scientists say

Chinese scientists have built what they claim is a revolutionary plane engine for Mach 16 flight. An aircraft powered by the engine could reach anywhere in the world within two hours, they said.

The test flight of a prototype in a hypersonic wind tunnel in Beijing suggested unprecedented performance in terms of thrust, fuel efficiency and operational stability.

The engine could also serve “reusable trans-atmospheric planes [that will] take off horizontally from an airport runway, accelerate into orbit around the Earth, then re-enter into the atmosphere, and finally land at an airport,” said the scientists, led by Professor Jiang Zonglin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Mechanics in a peer-reviewed paper published in the Chinese Journal of Aeronautics on Saturday.

More Details Emerge On China’s Stealth JH-XX Fighter-Bomber

National Interest: China’s Stealth JH-XX Fighter-Bomber Is a Giant Mystery

China appears to be working on several new fifth-generation planes.

As China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) pursues a slew of ambitious fifth-generation fighter jet projects, a mysterious new bomber looms in the backdrop.

A 2019 Defense Intelligence Agency report confirmed that the PLAAF is developing two next-generation fighters: the H-20 strategic bomber and a tactical “fighter-bomber.” The former—discussed in a recent profile by The National Interest—is a long-distance, heavy subsonic stealth bomber with the reported capacity to threaten U.S. assets as far as Hawaii. But the latter, commonly known by the working name “JH-XX,” remains mired in mystery.
