Secret memos show Trump adviser roiled bureau by intervening in agent’s discrimination case before he was targeted in Russia case.
The FBI launched a criminal probe against former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn two years after the retired Army general roiled the bureau’s leadership by intervening on behalf of a decorated counterterrorism agent who accused now-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and other top officials of sexual discrimination, according to documents and interviews.
Flynn’s intervention on behalf of Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz was highly unusual, and included a letter in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationary, a public interview in 2015 supporting Gritz’s case and an offer to testify on her behalf. His offer put him as a hostile witness in a case against McCabe, who was soaring through the bureau’s leadership ranks.

WNU Editor: So .... three years ago Michael Flynn came to the legal defense of a special agent against someone who is now the acting FBI Director (Andrew McCabe) .... the same Andrew McCabe who pushed and led the investigation against Michael Flynn when the Russian probe was launched last year?!?!?! If this is not a conflict of interest .... I do not what is. But this is not the first time that acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe has found himself in a situation where one can make the argument that there is a conflict of interest .... this is the same Andrew McCabe who refused to recuse himself from leading the Hillary Clinton email investigation even though his wife was receiving massive donations for her own campaign from Democrat Party supporters of Hillary Clinton .... FBI No. 2 did not disclose wife's ties to Clinton ally, records show (FOX News). Will Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigate this?

What has been happening with the birth of the tea party, who were the first strong faction that ignored facts (like evolution, and climate change and man's impact) is the possibility to reject facts and even fake facts and come up with your own truth. This truth-changing and narrative changing is not something entirely new, but combined with the Internet and the birth of "everyone is a journalist" abs at the same time "no one is responsible for what they are saying anymore" (looking at you, CNN and MSNBC. So shameful. .it used to be fox only). We are basically entering a new stage. News networks no longer report the facts and the truth. They make more money through innuendo and walking a very thin path -powered by lawyers - of name calling and almost outright lies and ignoring of counter arguments and dealing with people who pass on town hall questions during a presidential campaign cycle (again looking at you, cnn!), you're basically replacing the truth with almost-truth (a lawyer approved mix of innuendo and falsehoods that make you just barely get away with it without being taking to court all the time - and you make more money overall because viewers like Jay go into crazy mode and believe the whole narrative and without proof whatsoever)...
Cnn and msnbc are killing journalism. And cnn is basically an infotainment channel now. ..all the breaking news to get you excited and locked on your couch, and then the golf and rolex and sailing ads to calm you down again. Pathetic.
