The Hill: House Democrat files article of impeachment against Trump
Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) formally introduced an article of impeachment against President Trump on Wednesday that accuses the president of obstructing justice during the federal investigation of Russia’s 2016 election interference.
This is the first time a lawmaker has offered an impeachment article against Trump, and comes as Democrats have debated whether it is politically wise to press the case for impeachment at this time.
A majority vote in the House, currently controlled by Republicans, is required to impeach a president. Republicans have a 46-seat advantage.

/remember that the Dems have some 25 senate seats up for reelection come '18. They keep this up, they may well hand the GOP a super majority.
So far it seems all that has been discovered is DJT Jr met with a lawyer who had ties to the Russian government who supposedly had incriminating information on HRC that turned out to be nothing. In spite of almost nine months of investigating this and more resources being spent on this than pretty much anything the government has worked on in all this time, this is all we have that seems substantiated.
Note I say seems as some ma be "holding back" or perhaps there is something I have not seen or missed. Also, we must carefully watch for our biases as, if we don't our biases can literally kill us. As such, there may well be something "here" but if this is all we can come up with, what a colossal waste of time and resources.
With that said, at a minimum, this does NOT look good for DJT Jr. Is it enough to get a conviction against him? Is it enough to get him a felony? Is it enough to get him jail time? It very likely is. Even though no crime was committed as the person in question had no information, if an attempt to commit a crime can be established, the courts will not look favorably on that nor should they.
With this said Americans have long heard about the American "injustice system." As it is generally directed against those without means and/or low to mid level political and business operatives who have fallen out of favor, it is possible for many to blithely pretend the American injustice system does not exist. Until now it has never been directed against a billionaire business person or a POTUS, at least to the level it is now. As such, the American injustice system is being revealed front and center for Americans and much of the world to see. If this leads to change in the American criminal justice system, at least this might be a silver lining that can come from this.
Certain members of the government and the media are essentially attempting a de facto coup against a duly elected POTUs. The United States government has sponsored coups against and sanctioned foreign countries for doing much less than what it is currently doing against a duly elected POTUS. American hypocrisy, at least that of the US government, is being revealed for all the world to see. While "westerners" may not have a problem with this, it seems highly likely that others are watching this closely and thinking if America can't or won't live up to its own ideals on democracy, how can it lecture, attack, or sanction, others who don't live up to such ideals. For things there is bound to be severe blowback.
Properly managed, it can be a brilliant bit of Political Theatre for the midterms, because it will force Republican's to publically "choose", rather than what they have been doing, which is "nothing" other than occasionally tweeting disapproval and mild condemnation of Team Trumps antics.
When the White Supremacy House starts to implode in 2019 and Minion's start dying, taking plea deals and getting perp walked, the Republican's will have a hard time playing Trump Who? like they did with BushII when the Dems make them go "on record" between now and then.
Brad Sherman is going to hand Congress to the Republicans.

As for me, on another thread, I was accused of living in my parent's basement. I never had a chance to respond to that among other things before it was off the front page where no one looks. Actually, I provide for the financial support. Now having cleared that up, it would be helpful if some actually tried to get know someone before making baseless assumptions. Oh well time to move on.

I must admit the so called "special kids" can be rather entertaining. I do hope the idea of rejoicing over the prospect of 22 million dead Americans is not indicitave of most Canadiana.
As for ACA, I can personally attest to the pain and auffering this has caused. In fact, for every one petson who has been helped 100 have been harmed. If not fixed, even the one who has been "helped" will be harmed in the mid to long-term.
ACA cannot be "fixed", as it is fatally flawed and was from the start. The plan is so bad that one could set up a 20,000 foot wide dart board, write "health care reform" accross it, put on a blindfold, spin around 7 times, toss the dart, and wherever it lands would be a vast improvement over Obamacare.
As such, "reform" isn't hard. Unfortunately politicians must seek "comprehensive reform" all at once. Such things are generally imposdible. If they are unsure and are afraid of the political consequences of what they may choose or are otherwise afraid, simply adopt the Canadian health care plan word for word.
Everyone "knows" it is better than anything the United States has ever had and it is obviously much better than ACA. As such, an excellent place to start. Adopt the Canadian health care plan.
I'm sure there are Canadians who are experts on Canada's healthcare system who'd be willing to help us out in implementing this for the proper fee. After all Americans view Canadians as their best friends. Surely they'd help us.
