Reuters: Joe Skipper The Hill: Trump officials signal intent to begin refilling Guantanamo
The Trump administration appears to be making its first moves toward fulfilling a campaign promise to fill the Guantanamo Bay prison camp with “bad dudes.”
Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein visited the prison on Friday to get an update on current operations, the first concrete action the administration has taken on the facility since taking office.
Up until now, Guantanamo has been running on autopilot; the executive order from former President Obama calling for the facility to be shut down is still technically the law of the land.
But President Trump promised during the campaign to “load it up with some bad dudes,” and Sessions has called it a “very fine place” with no legal reason not to send new detainees there.

If Trump is going around the Constitution, then so did GWB and Obama certainly did not follow it.
The Left thinks citizens, non-citizens, enemy combatants, illegal alien combatants all get the same rights and privileges. They can own that. the wiggle room for snickers and a rhetorical BS is closing.
I still have my alien card from when I lived south of the border. They certainly did not allow me to vote and voting was mando for all citizens. So if they treated citizens and aliens alike, then they would have fined me for not voting.
The distinction between citizens and non-citizens is very apparent when you read "The National".
It is also very apparent in Japan when it comes to property ownership and everything else.
Yes, I agree GWB violated the Constitution. Obama did too, but at least he tried to close Guantanamo.
