President Donald Trump called an emergency meeting on the Fourth of July to formulate a 'measured response' to North Korea's first intercontinental ballistic missile test, amid fears it could reach as far as Alaska.

North Korea declared Tuesday that it had finally achieved its dream of building an intercontinental ballistic missile, saying it would 'fundamentally put an end to the US nuclear war threat and blackmail'.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson later confirmed the latest missile test was with an intercontinental ballistic missile.

And Tillerson says that’s a new escalation of the threat posed to the United States and the world by North Korea.

The way China supports military equipment and knowledge to North Korea just reveals that the US and China are at war.

But it's an entirely different war, fought without declaring to be at war and fought trough proxies (north Korea is on team China) and through economic means.

The goal for China is this: ending the US rule and replacing it with China for this and the next centuries to come.

What's better than a "crazy" dictator who felt pushed into a corner and decided to send one rocket to SF/east coast US?

Wake up people. This is Chinese warfare at its finest and a good example for plausible deniability.

Either hit the infrastructure or accept him as a member of the big boys club.
Sanctions do not work on him.

Anon has the jist of it. I guess in this case the Japanese are our crazy little brothers who will take the heat for all of the North Koreans dying. They have a lot to lose and a lot to gain if South Korea gets hit hard and they will. We have to protect the Japanese. It's a law. The Chinese should be afraid of that. Don't be afraid of a nuclear war. No one is that stupid. Except Kim and Iran.

So in speculation if we were to let Japan build up. Disregard their previous ww2 agreements. Is Japan our pitbull vs China. Just wondering. World news editor should be a history teacher you taught me a lot of things. 😊

It is indeed interesting to read the blog and everyone's comments, the jostling between the left and the right ( if at all everything could be classified that easily) recently has been intesnse. It also gave me a great perspective on how Canada sees the current geopolitics.
