Russia’s New Chaos Theory Of Political Warfare

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin (L) and newly-appointed Army Chief of Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov in the Kremlin in Moscow, on November 9, 2012

Molly K. McKew, Politico: The Gerasimov Doctrine

It’s Russia’s new chaos theory of political warfare. And it’s probably being used on you.

Lately, Russia appears to be coming at the United States from all kinds of contradictory angles. Russian bots amplified Donald Trump during the campaign, but in office, Kremlin-backed media portray him as weak. Vladimir Putin is expelling U.S. diplomats from Russia, limiting options for warmer relations with the administration he wanted in place. As Congress pushes a harder line against Russia, plenty of headlines declare that Putin’s gamble on Trump has failed.

Confused? Only if you don’t understand the Gerasimov Doctrine.

WNU Editor: I am surprised that this "doctrine" was published .... another sign on how much Russia's armed forces have evolved since the Soviet era. As for what the doctrine is, you can read it here (in English) .... The Value of Science Is in the Foresight (General of the Army Valery Gerasimov).

The Politico article contains so many falsehoods and allegations for which no proof has been supplied that it is hard to know where to even begin in debunking such non sense. Time permitting I will take a several of these and elaborate. This article is enough to make one's head explode with the number of inaccuracies it contains.

One way to sum up a group of very powerful people across the political spectrum are displeased with the outcome of the presidential election. This group is actively trying to delegitimize a duly elected POTUS and are actively involved in what has all the markings of an attempted coup against this legitimately elected leader. To this end, these people are perfectly willing to demonize Russia, sanction them, meddle in their internal affairs, and otherwise try and undermine their legitimate interests. Keep in mind doing such things risks both a major military confrontation with them and undermines the role of the US dollar as world reserve currency all but ensuring a hard landing for the US and its economy when it does occur AND this is being done for no good reason other than some are unhappy with the electoral outcome. Such people are either pathologically insane or they have the minds of impudent children. Such people should be removed from positions of power.
