The US has said it will “try one more time” to work with Pakistan to end its support for terrorists even as a top American general accused the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of having ties to terror groups.
Defence secretary James Mattis told a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the US strategy for South Asia that America and its allies plan to present Pakistan with a list of what it must to do “change its behavior”, with the warning that non-compliance could include revoking its status as a major non-NATO ally.

WNU Editor: These are serious accusations .... but is Pakistan listening? My gut is telling me no .... even if the U.S. does this .... Mattis: U.S. could consider revoking Pakistan's status as major non-NATO ally (UPI). So what will get Pakistan's attention? Put restrictions on travel and visas to Pakistan .... this will impact millions of Pakistanis, and this will wake them up.

Just the start of another confrontation with another nuke power is what it is. Eventually the US will become somewhat isolated.
As for Afghanistan, just get out already.
this was known some years ago...hint: why was O.B. Ladin bunker a block away from Pakistan military base and "they did not know about it"?
