Washington Times: FEC complaint accuses Clinton campaign, DNC of violating campaign finance law with dossier payments
Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee violated campaign finance law by failing to disclose payments for a dossier on Donald Trump, according to a complaint filed Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission.
The complaint from the nonprofit Campaign Legal Center said the Democrats effectively hid the payments from public scrutiny, contrary to the requirements of federal law. By law, campaign and party committees must disclose the reason money is spent and its recipient.
“By filing misleading reports, the DNC and Clinton campaign undermined the vital public information role of campaign disclosures,” said Adav Noti, senior director of trial litigation and strategy at CLC and a former FEC official. “Voters need campaign disclosure laws to be enforced so they can hold candidates accountable for how they raise and spend money. The FEC must investigate this apparent violation and take appropriate action.”

It was very surreal to watch the U.S. cable networks tonight. Not one Hillary Clinton supporter was convincing in defending Hillary Clinton's campaign team and the Democrat Party on why they paid a former MI-6 agent responsible for the Russian desk millions of dollars to get information from his contacts in Russia on Donald Trump. But what was even more striking to me was that the heavy weights in the Democrat Party stayed away from this story completely today. I have been watching the Clintons since they hit the national scene in 1991, and this is the first time that I am seeing key Democrat spokespersons, leaders, and politicians stay away from defending the Clintons. The impression that I am getting is that like Harvey Weinstein .... the powers that be in the Democrat Party want these people to now just go away, and they are making that known by not defending them. So is this is different from past scandals .... definitely .... and it is this lack of unconditional support that the Clintons have always enjoyed in the past that is the most striking.
Yep - twisting in the wind. Oh there's more to come. It'll be 'drip, drip, drip' from now until 2018+. The whole fake Trump/Russian collusion fantasy is destroyed. Steve Bannon was a vice-president of the company – he reportedly had holdings valued at between $1m and $5m – before joining the Trump campaign and becoming the White House chief strategist, a post he left in August.
Cambridge Analytica’s website claims it holds up to 5,000 data points on more than 230 million American voters. It promises to help clients “gain the advantage over your opponents by adding our blend of big data analytics and behavioral psychology to your campaign arsenal.” It is believed to analyse social media, such as Facebook likes, to build a “psychographic” picture of target voters.
The company was hired as part of the Trump campaign’s data operation, led by Brad Parscale and overseen by Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
