U.S. Military Sends Troops To Russian Border

Newsweek: U.S. Military Sends Troops to Russian Border, Officials Say They Want ‘Peace, Not War’ With Russia

Russia has accused the U.S. of violating a peace treaty between Moscow and the Western military pact NATO after the Pentagon deployed a new force in the tense Baltic region. It's the latest of several Western moves seen as provocations by Russia, which has vowed to respond.

The U.S. announced Thursday the arrival of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment in a Polish NATO outpost located about 100 miles from Russia's militarized enclave of Kaliningrad. The troops are part of Washington's latest effort to bolster allied nation's against what they perceive to be a military threat from neighboring Russia. If Israel needs to leave the West Bank, maybe Russia needs to leave Kaliningrad?

Or maybe the US should leave Guantanamo bay

Aizino,

That is an excellent point. Perhaps the US needs to leave Texas, Arizona, California, New Mexico, and any other lands claimed by Mexico. Of course I don't see this happening in the near to short to mid term and as an American I have no intention of leaving these lands.

Anon,

This is an interesting point as well. The YS has even less of a claim on this than it does on TX, AZ, CA, NM, or other areas claimed by TX. Of course before leaving a suitable replacement for this Guantanamo Bay will need to be found and optimally we would need to be properly compensated for all of the pain and suffering Cuba has caused us over many decades. Also, while Cuba remains a hostile force someway to monitor this situation will need to be maintained. Guantanamo Bay likely helps in this regard.

Kaliningrad and Texas are different. The Texans were invited by the Mexican government.
