U.S. Secretary of Defense Mattis Tells Military To 'Be Ready' Regarding North Korea

CBS: Mattis tells Army to "be ready" on North Korea military options

Defense Secretary James Mattis says the U.S. Army "must stand ready" in the face of continued provocations by the North Korean regime.

While delivering the keynote address at the Association of the U.S. Army's annual meeting on Monday, Mattis outlined the current strategy in North Korea for the U.S. military, saying "it is right now diplomatically led, economic sanctioned, buttressed effort to try to turn North Korea off its path."

He conceded, however, that "neither you nor I can say" what the future holds for the regime.

Nothing will happen as long as KJU will make a mistake, and that's not for now. The only way to get rid of KJU is to push him to make a mistake, but that's not only with words it will happen.

Jac, I'm not so certain. Trump has been given options by the military. He looked at those and will consider the cost of doing nothing vs. the costs of doing something now.

If it were an entirely rationale decision I would be expecting war tonight.

If it is influenced by morale dilemma, I'd expect nothing to happen.

But I do think that Trump also considers the impact on his presidency, his image (the Trump brand) and his properties around the world. He surely must know that north Korean saboteurs and assassins will go after his businesses overseas - unless they all defect. I just can't imagine it, these sleepers could defect any day. Once pictures of dead civilians are shown, they won't be thinking "oh right, these things happen and are unavoidable". No. ..they'll see dead brothers and sisters and will take it out against his properties which are sitting ducks.

Not an easy decision.
But I think it'll happen soon. Any week that passes makes successful war outcome more unlikely.

Jac what's a mistake to you? Killing his half brother with a babes nerve agent at an international airport is not a mistake I take it. ..threatening nuclear war on Japan and the US is not a mistake either then, right? Lol dude
