* Police say the father-of-three had been planning the attack for weeks before he carried it out on Halloween
* Inside the Home Depot truck he used, police found notes written in Arabic which said ISIS would live forever
* They also found 'multiple' knives and Saipov's pellet gun and paint gun were recovered at the scene
* He remains at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan under arrest and is said to have boasted during questioning
* Eight people were killed in the attack and another 12 were taken to hospital. Nine remain there under care
* Two Americans, a Belgian and five Argentinians were those who were murdered in the afternoon attack
* Saipov's wife and friends are being questioned in Patterson, New Jersey, as part of the investigation
The driver of a truck which mowed down innocent people in New York on Tuesday, killing eight and injuring 12, pledged his allegiance to ISIS before the attack and had been planning it for weeks.
Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, remains in custody in the hospital after being shot in the stomach by an on-duty NYPD officer at Chambers Street in Tribeca on Tuesday afternoon.
At a press conference on Wednesday morning, New York City officials said he followed replicated previous ISIS attacks involving trucks and followed the terror group's strategy, which they have mapped out on social media, 'to a T.'

Its simple. That CNN reporter is an Islamist or have sympathies with Islam. Or, they have gag-orders. Much like Swedish media.
Regarding the CNN Reporter failing to describe the attacker, that's nothing new.
When a Muslim fanatic beheaded an old woman in her back garden in the UK, the police, along with the media, did not release ANY sort of hint or description as to the man who did it. Only when he was summoned to court did the details ever come out.

How the Canadian press is covering this story would make you cringe. Very few details on who the attacker is .... but a lot of criticism of President Trump for being frustrated that the system is permitting people like this into the country. In short .... blame the messenger.

Anon. Willful murder by car must run in the low double digits in the US for 2017 or any other year likely lower. Wilful murder with gun is probably in the thousands every year. See a difference here? Plus, with AI soon taking the driver's role, the car as a murder weapon will also come to an end

There is car control, beginners test, drivers test, drivers lisence good for 5 years, massive list of punative and fiscal penalties for using a car "wrong", regular checks ( mostly on POC) on people using cars,
Registration, lisencing and insuring of cars,
And of course, the loss of your lisence, "right to own a lisence", car and right to own a car, for up to life, if you rack up enough minor infractions or just one major infraction.
