Zimbabwe's Ruling Party Fires Robert Mugabe As Leader. Given 24 Hours To Resign Or Face Impeachment

Daily Mail: Robert Mugabe is SACKED by his party and replaced by 'The Crocodile' - but the reviled Zimbabwean dictator is still president and goes on hunger strike after vowing to die for 'what is correct'

* Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has refused to eat since Saturday in a protest against his house arrest
* Mugabe's nephew Patrick Zhuwao said on Saturday that Mr Mugabe was 'willing to die for what is correct'
* Zimbabwe's ruling ZANU-PF party remove Mugabe as its leader at a special meeting, officials said Sunday
* The party replaced Mugabe with the vice president he previously sacked, Emmerson 'Crocodile' Mnangagwa
* It follows rumours that the dictator had fled the country after hundreds of thousands protested his rule

Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has been formally dismissed as the leader of the country's ruling party, Zanu-PF, and replaced by the vice president he previously sacked, Emmerson 'Crocodile' Mnangagwa.

It followed all ten Zimbabwean provinces passing no-confidence motions against the dictator on Friday. Although Mr Mugabe technically remains president, the fact that he no longer leads his party means that the end is almost certainly in sight for his 37-year reign.

The development placed Mr Mnangagwa within touching distance of the presidency, delayed only by Mr Mugabe's continued refusal to step down.

Mao was fired.

Actually they said "You did great, good, & many wonderful things, but isn't it time you take your just deserts and retire."

They retired Mao. He was angry. He started a letter writing campaign.

It ballooned into the Cultural Revolution. That revolution, his revolution, destroyed many things in China such as the university system and the technical base of China. a Few years after he croaked, they overthrew the 4 gangsters that succeeded Mao, his wife and 3 others.

Was Mao's wife's name Grace?

Is Mugabe's wife's name Jiang Qing?

Will Grace or Robert start posting letter in the town square?

Robbie is too old. Grace is young enough, but I think the Chinese will not let her. They have too much money invested in Zimbabwe. Besides, they have seen that foolishness before. That foolishness is reserved for astroturf in America.

Aizino, you're getting better. Nice to see. :)
I agree. And hunger strike. Please. This guy has lived a fat life on the back of his population. He hasn't experienced any hardship for 30 years, nor does he appear to me to have any kind of conviction. The hunger strike is likely a gamble to see if he's got supporters out there willing to go on the streets for him. Don't hold your breath. No one, except the few he made rich, want him around. He's an embarrassment to the male gender and should just f off. .he's lucky they didn't kill him for all his money grabbing and obscenities. His wife should've known better too.. no one wants a spoiled housewife to suddenly rule over them.
