With all the US brass in the region with high level talks in Israel and Saudi Arabia, wheels are turning and Iran is the target. Russia is no doubt being hounded to reign in their pit bull Iran. Does Russia want better relations with Iran or Israel and Saudi Arabia? Can't have both.

"Does Russia want better relations with Iran or Israel and Saudi Arabia? Can't have both."

If Iran goes secular, then Saudi Arabia becomes the odd man out.

Iran going secular does not mean that that people become irreligious. In some ways it becomes easier and in other ways it becomes harder. But being religious without holding a gun to someone else's head, is the way to go.

Without the North Korean Stalking horse/pit bull the Iranian pit bull attracts too much attention.
