BBC: US 'provocation' threatens peace, says North Korea
North Korea has warned the US about using "pressure and military threats" against it as the two countries prepare for a historic summit.
A Foreign Ministry official said the US was deliberately provoking the North by suggesting sanctions will not be lifted until it gives up nuclear weapons.
US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are due to meet in the next few weeks.
It will be the first ever meeting between the two countries' leaders.
North and South Korean leaders agreed last month to denuclearise the region, at a border summit which came after months of warlike rhetoric from the North and Mr Trump.
Mr Kim became the first North Korean leader to set foot in South Korea since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

Peace Treaty with no provocations or secret builds up is good, but not Nobel worthy IMHO.
Of course a question that should be asked is if any Nobel committee is worthy of giving out anything?
The Nobel committee on literature won't be giving any prizes because it is a mess.
It seems as though the good folks at the Nobel organization (and I abuse the word good) went New York Times on women. Seems as though they had a serial sexual assualter and they did nothing for years. It is well know that the moral editors and management at the august New York Times spiked the Harvey Weinstein story a decade ago although the police had a tape! It begs the question as to what kind of morals the NYT personnel have.
At any rate Trump may not earn a Nobel Prize for Korean Peace. I think he should earn it if he gets a peace treaty and denuclearization. But would he get it from the scoundrels of the Nobel organization?
For Korean peace with a good economy but no denuclearization, I think that would justify him as a shoo-in for re-election in 2020.

There has been talk about The Donald winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
So I opined about it.
While I think he should win it, if all this comes to pass, many people think that he would be snubbed by the Leftists Nobel Organization.
So I further opined about if it means anything to win a prize from such a partisan and disreputable organization. I gave an example of their dissolute behavior.
PS - Nobel organization has been political for a long time. I remember the time they gave the peace prize to an ethnic Mayan woman from Guatemala with a German name. That cracked me up. They gave it to her for the same reason they gave Obama his cakewalk prize.
Of the two, Obama and Trump, neither qualify for the Nobel Peace Prize. But, for the Nobel Make War Prize definitely Obama by a head but give Trump time.
Trump will get a Korean War Peace Treaty and you call that war?

Smith maybe Trump will get a peace agreement and maybe if he does he US will honor it. In the meantime he is a war monger eager to start one with Iran. Peace treaty with NK or not, he is not worthy of a Peace Prize.
